Playing Seven Card Stud

Order of playing seven card stud.

• The dealer shuffles the cards, cuts them, and then burns the top card. He deals one card face down to each player, followed by a second. Then he deals a third card face up.

of these first three cards (the hole cards are not revealed until the showdown), the player with the highest card showing must bet within the agreed limits. He cannot check or fold. Subsequent players then make their bets and each must fold, call or raise. The betting continues around the table until all bets are equalized.

• The casino dealer deals a second face-up card to each player still in the game.
• There is a second betting interval. Again, the player with the highest hand showing ao far is the one to bet first. In this and subsequent betting intervals, this player has the option of checking. • When all nets are equal, each player receives a third face-up card, and the third betting interval takes place, followed by a fourth face-up card and the fourth betting interval.
